PLANT SERVICES WINS MAJOR AWARD FOR INTERIOR LANDSCAPING AT THE PEABODY LITTLE ROCK

Little Rock, Ark., Sept. 26, 2002 - Plant Services, Little Rock's oldest interior landscape company has won the Award of Distinction from the Associated Landscape Contractors of America, in the organizations' 33rd annual Environmental Improvement Awards Program, for its design and installation of The Peabody Little Rock's interior plantscape.

"This is a wonderful affirmation of the quality, artistry and dedication to interior environmental improvement of Plant Services," said Timothy S. Gonser, vice president/general manager of The Peabody Little Rock. "We chose Plant Services because we valued the company's environmental philosophies and their in-depth knowledge of indoor plants and the environments in which they flourish."

The Peabody Little Rock plantscape project was carefully designed in the fall of 2001 by Plant Services in conjunction with Peabody Hotel Group management. "The goal was to install plants that would flourish and project the image of the hotel's luxurious ambience and elegance, and at the same time provide natural screens and dividers without obscuring such major features as the Peabody Duck Fountain, Lobby Bar, and Capriccio, as well as complement the wonderful interior grandeur of the hotel," said Lynn McMahon of Plant Services.

ALCA's Environmental Improvement Awards Program reflects the association's commitment to creating and preserving the beauty of our landscape. The program is designed to reward interior and exterior landscape contracting professionals who execute quality projects and to recognize citizens who underwrite such work.
